A pair of images from both CHICKEN RUN and ROAD TO EL DORADO

Hey folks, Harry here with these spiffy images from DreamWorks' upcoming animated films... ROAD TO EL DORADO and CHICKEN RUN. If you want to see more from this, go over to Jawad's Spielberg-Dreamworks Site and check it out! And if you want background on CHICKEN RUN, Click here to read Moriarty and Mine's description of the first 15 minutes of the film, plus our lives at Burger King

I don't seem to remember seeing this scene at the Burger King presentation of the first 15 minutes, but my memory may just be faulty from all the meat grease that I inhaled the day prior.

The above scene is from when it is asked of all the chickens, who will allow Rocky (voiced by Mel Gibson) to share their bunk.

Above we have our two leads, I believe voiced by Kenneth Branagh and Kevin Kline

Then here we have a gorgeous shot of a waterfall in the Yucatan area. I have actually spent quite a lot of time in the jungles where alot of this is alleged to take place. And from what I saw there at the DreamWorks Animation campus over a year ago, I'd say they were nailing the look and lushness dead on. Very little light breaks through the canopy, and it is always wet and dripping. Wherever the sun does hit is gleaming emerald colors. The waterfalls seem to come from out of nowhere. Usually aligators sun themselves up at the top of the falls... or at least that was my experience there. I've been to all the major Mayan sites as they exist today and over the past 20 years, but it has always been a dream of mine to see them as they were at the time when they were among the largest cities in the world. Giant libraries and markets. A communtiy of religion and science merged. The pyramids with bright reds and green and yellow colors, and various gods' heads carved out of the side of them. The ball courts, the sacrificial wells, Choc Mol.... I love this time period and history and hope Dreamworks is going to deliver an animated trip back to a time I've dreamt of since the age of 5.
