Another Set Story from MUPPETS IN SPACE!!!

Muppets rock. They are the coolest group of creations around IMHO, and this film sounds like it'll be a blast. Wouldn't it be cool if Yoda made a cameo? God, I'm such a geek... BTW that reminds me, if you see STAR WARS EPISODE ONE in a stadium seat theater... It won't look right. Why? Because the angle you will be seeing the opening crawl won't be right. You are supposed to be looking up at the screen, not dead ahead. Your head is supposed to be angled. Just one of them... random thoughts that came to me today... dismiss it or not, but You won't catch me at one of them Stadium Seaters for this one... at least not the first time. Boy did I get off track or what?

I just returned from Wilmington, NC where they are filming "Muppets From Space." I have a friend who works for Jim Henson Productions who is working on the film and I was visiting. I spent a day on the set watching them film various sequences, etc. I got a personal tour of the different sets (the muppet house is really cool), pictures with my favorite muppets and at different spots on the sets, and watch brian henson and the director (tim hill) have a meeting right in front of me. I sat behind them and watched the playback screen.

I also was fortunate enough to see "dailies" (outtakes and potential scenes of the film) from previous filming days. they were hilarious!

The movie begins with kermit waking up to his alarm clock, shutting it off, putting on a robe, and walking down the hall of the muppet house to the bathroom, where a large line of various other muppets waits to use the bathroom. there are sequences in front of the mirror with various muppets getting ready for the day (brushing and flossing their teeth. combing hair, shaving, etc) all to the Commodores "Brickhouse." animal's moment is one of many belly-roaring scenes.

I met and spoke with steve whitmire (kermit, rizzo, etc.) and dave goelz (gonzo, bunsen honeydew, etc.) I am very happy to report that this really cool fella is doing most of the Ms. Piggy work with Frank Oz voice-overs in addition to many other famous muppets including Floyd Pepper on bass guitar when the electic mayhem band plays on the beach and the gonzo oraganist.

Also, look forward to some great cameos by various actors and old muppets. Filming is supposed to wrap on January 28th. I throughly look forward to this muppet venture. This was one of my best vacations ever, considering I love the muppets, as well as movies and entertainment.

May the Muppets live FOREVER!

call me "bosshogg"

P.S. - According to my friend, there is a Muppets "Halloween" movie in the works that is supposed to start filming next January. It would be released in October 2000. Sounds ultra cool, huh?!

Ok folks, information gathering time and wild speculation... What sort of 'Horror-story' would you like to see the Muppets caught up in? This TALK BACK ought to be fun...
