Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...
Paul Feig. It should be enough for me to just say his name as a way of explaining to you why I’m interested in seeing this film. However, I understand that FREAKS & GEEKS was a cult thing at best, and that most people still aren’t aware of just how freakin’ smart Paul Feig is. They’ve never read his insanely funny book SUPERSTUD. They just don’t get it. Yet. And here’s hoping UNACCOMPANIED MINORS is part of turning that around.
I certainly walked away from a set visit with the impression that Feig was up to something special, and I’ll finally post that report very soon. It’s good stuff, and I had a great time getting to meet Paul’s young cast, as sharp a collection of actors as his F&G ensemble. If this comes together the right way, this might be the best John Hughes film since Hughes went nuts and disappeared.
