FROST(Y) the Snowman News!!!
|
Ok, you FROSTY followers seem to be fairly loyal readers so here comes another bit of
info. First I've heard that while Warners is still producing and distributing, that Jim
Henson Pictures is actually making the film. How'd this happen. Well according to
camera set up in the iris of the Porky Pig in the corner of the big meeting room, it has to
do with the head.
The Henson people heaved they're trusty Frosty head (a morbid thought if I ever did have
one) and set up to show them how cool it was. Apparently it blew the Warner types
away. They lobbied for the project and allegedly got it. BUT...................
Then I get this report on what is now allegedly being called "FROST". Is Henson Pics
making it with this guy? I have no clue, but here is what the Film Student Boy said:
As you might now by now, first time director Troy Miller is now
replacing Sam Raimi on "Frost" for WB (aka "Frosty the Snowman" aka
"Jack Frost"). He did the film satires for last year's Oscars and a
little producing, but that's about it.
But here's the interesting part. My man inside Jim Henson Pictures
has
said that Frosty's fully articulated animatronic head is finished.
And
it is...AMAZING. This head is so animated, it's UNBELIEVEABLE. Small
scoop, but fun and interesting.
