The film is period piece about a magician (Edward Norton) using his powers to secure the love of a woman (Jessica Biel) who is about to marry a prince (Rufus Sewell).
I love the idea of this film; the "inappropriate" use of magic for personal gain is a compelling (and creepy) concept. But, something about this trailer seems "off" to me. It feels like...I don't know...one of those stilted recreation shows we might see on the History Channel. Is it just me?
The film should materialize on-screens August 18, with a score by Phillip Glass.
