UPDATE!! All Seven Seasons Of BUFFY Just Fell To $19.97!!X-FILES Under $25!! H-Vault!!

HOLY SHIT!! On closer inspection, I see that Fox actually just reduced a bunch of its Sci-Fi titles to 50-percent off, including every season of “X-Files” to just $24.97!! Lowest price for "X-Files" probably ever!! Check out all of them here!!
Back to the original post!

Entourage: The Complete Second Season was the season Vincent Chase was chasing the title role in Jim Cameron’s “@qu@m@n.”
Harry Knowles tells me one of the “Entourage” producers once phoned to tell him the Rainn Wilson character in the ComicCon episode, the one who threatened to deride DC’s newest big-screen franchise as “Aquafag,” was not based on Harry. So I guess it was based on the Internet critic over at JoBlo.com. Because that was the guy the newspapers and books and magazines are always crediting for crippling “Batman & Robin’s” opening weekend.
I judged the adventures of E, Ari, Vince, Turtle and Johnny Drama highly entertaining from episode one, but there were few kind words in talkback for the show when HBO premiered it July 18, 2004. Just for fun, let’s go back and revisit some appraisals!
“Jeremy Piven. Am I supposed to be thrilled to see him on TV again? He's not a good actor - he's NEVER funny and the only reason he has a career is because of John Cusack.” – “Peter Venkman”
“the worst ever. That could have been the worst show I have ever seen” – “callmesnake”
“Man was that terrible. It had to be one of the worst shows I had ever seen on cable television.” – “Steal_Dragon”
“entoura—zzzzzzeee. what a lame excuse for a show.” – “Dr Farragammo”
I guess it got better!

The Time Tunnel Vol. 2 contains not only the 1967 final half of the series' first and only season, it contains two failed efforts to revive the series:
1) There’s Irwin Allen’s 1976 TV-movie “Time Travelers” starring Sam Groom, which dealt with a 1976 scientist trying to find a cure lost in the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.
2) The set also contains Fox’s never-aired two-hour 2002 “Time Tunnel” pilot starring David Conrad (“Miss Match,” “The Ghost Whisperer”) and Andrea Roth (“Rescue Me”).
It’s interesting to note that neither of the two revival attempts would have employed the “lost in time” element featured in the original series.
If you’ve got to own half of the original 30-episode “Time Tunnel,” the weirder and less formulaic second half – which contains three of the four episodes set in the future - is almost certainly the way to go. In episode 24, the protagonists have to chase an evil tunnel technician to 1,000,000 A.D., where they tangle with force fields employed by the era’s ruling class. In episode 28, they’re transported to a distant planet in 8,433 A.D. to deal with (and not for the first time) meddling extraterrestrials. And in the series finale, set in 1978, they have to fend off space-androids determined to siphon off Earth’s oxygen. The new set also contains interviews with cast members Robert Colbert, James Darren, Whit Bissel and Lee Meriwether.

The Wild Wild West: The Complete First Season is genius from the Beatles era. Somebody thought to marry the long-entrenched TV Western with the James Bond craze of the early 1960s. Secret service agent Jim West (Robert Conrad) teamed with master-of-disguise Artemis Gordon (Ross Martin) to combat weekly sci-fi madness at the behest of President U.S. Grant. It also employed the best TV theme music this side of “Hawaii Five-O” – which, incredibly, was all but ignored in Barry Sonnenfeld’s vastly inferior big-screen version.
The $34.98 28-episode set is crammed silly with extras, among them: commentary by Robert Conrad (who also provides audio intros), the “lost” original opening and bumpers, pilot promos, blooper, network promos, “a Ross Martin sketch” and an Eveready commercial, plus audio interviews with series writer John Kneubuhl, casting director Ethel Winant, producer Fred Freiberger, special effects supervisor Tim Smyth and composer Richard Markowitz.
Herc’s Popular Pricing Pantry
A few years ago, the seventh season of “The X-Files” cost well north of $100. Last week it was down to $89.99. Today it’s only $34.99 for that season’s slimcase edition , which has all the episodes but apparently lacks some of the (some say overrated) extras found on the old cardboard version.

Many disparage the later episodes with Doggett and Reyes, but I always thought the series benefited from abandoning Spooky’s baggage (all packed with bees and oil) and striking out in less-confusing directions. 8.20, a Chris Carter-penned episode featuring Krycek and a Terminator-like Billy Miles, nabbed four stars on the Herc scale.
