Ahoy, squirts. Quint here with news on another drama in the works, this one a little more on the somber side of things. Daniel Pearl was the journalist infamously kidnapped and killed by terrorists while working in the Middle East. There was a book written by Bernard-Henri Levy called WHO KILLED DANIEL PEARL? that was optioned and is now being set up as a film starring Josh Lucas and directed by Kip Williams (DOOR IN THE FLOOR). I know there will be mixed feelings on this. Williams has a tight rope to walk here. Some great films have had this real-life sadness all over it (BRAVEHEART, TITANIC, SILKWOOD, GORILLAS IN THE MIST and more that are escaping me right now). There's a lot of weight to this film already. Let's just hope they make something truly great out of Pearl's story.
