Free Drafthouse South Screening of Badass Australian Western... THE PROPOSITION!!!

Like the one sheet! "A take-no-prisoners western of such brutal power and honesty that it would have Sergio Leone gripping his seat." That's a pretty damn amazing quote to have on a one-sheet of a Western. That's it's an Aussie Western - and that the landscapes are just gorgeous to behold is enough to have me there. But add to that Guy Pearce, Ray Winstone, Danny Huston, John Hurt, David Wenham and Emily Watson... and there's no doubt of my attendance. Then you take the fact that Nick Cave... of NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS wrote the script, and you have me interested as hell. What the hell is this thing. There's rumors of this being one helluva bloody gorey affair. Right now - it's scheduled to be released on May 5th of this year in New York, but I'm not real clear of what it's wider release plans may be, but I do know I'm dying to see the thing. It was nominated for 12 AUSTRALIAN FILM INSTITUTE awards last year, picking up 4 for Music, Production Design, Costume Design and Cinematography. I've a feeling this is going to be one helluva flick, and I'm sorry I didn't give y'all much advance notice - but drop me an email with "The Proposition" in the subject line alone and who all y'all want in, in the body of the email - and I'll publish the list here as soon as I have it.
