Bob and Harvey crouch their tigers and hide their dragons while picking up Wang Du Lu's 'Crane-Iron Pentalogy'!

Ahoy squirts! Quint here. It seems the Brothers Weinstein are buying properties like mad these days. They just optioned world-wide rights to develop and produce both stage and film versions of Wang Du Lu's CRANE-IRON PENTALOGY. The fourth installment of the Crane-Iron series is CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON, already made into a film by Ang Lee.

The idea is to adapt all 5 books for the stage and do the CROUCHING TIGER treatment on the film versions, done in the Chinese language. Harvey has said he wants to approach Ang Lee and producer Bill "King" Kong (the "King" was my addition) to take another dip into the mystical martial arts world.

CROUCHING TIGER was a brilliant and beautiful film that has done more for foreign film in terms of American audiences and the studio's releasing them with respect than any other that I can think of in recent times. I'd love to see Ang go back and if the Weinsteins are serious about making this a huge series that's good news, too. Any fans of the series that have an idea of which book to start with? They're not remaking CROUCHING TIGER, so we have 4 books and the Weinsteins aren't sure where to start... Suggestions?
