THE WHEELMAN injects some Diesel into his ride!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a bit of news about our favorite bald action star... It seems that aside from playing the lead in the video game adaptation of HITMAN, Vin Diesel will also be slipping behind the wheel in an adaptation of a video game that hasn't come out yet called THE WHEELMAN, from Midway. The game is still in the works for the two big next generation consoles, the already released XBox 360 and the upcoming PS3 and the word on the street is there will be a simultaneous release of the game and the film adaptation of it with Diesel starring in both. I don't know if that has ever happened before, that a game was being made, the rights scooped up and the film made to release around the time of the video game. Sure, it has happened the other way around... games being made out of movies to be released simultaneously, but I can't think of this happening before.

Let's hope the game is good, eh?

The plot of the flick being developed for MTV Films and Paramount centers around an expert driver who comes out of retirement to protect a woman from his past.

Diesel, when given the right role, can be great. I still think his Riddick character is iconic, even after the subpar sequel. I hope this flick is fun as hell without being THE TRANSPORTER 3.
