Hey folks, Harry here... Some of you may think this is lame news. And admittedly, on the surface the news that there is a "marching band" in SPIDER-MAN 3 is a tad lame... or maybe even a heap of lame. But that would be because you weren't a BAND GEEK/MOVIE GEEK - and if you were... The concept of being the high school band to march and play in a SAM RAIMI flick.... Of SPIDER-MAN.... That features VENOM & FUCKING SANDMAN.... Well, that's four aces and a king of cool! Not just that, but to get to play the song they get to play... that a high school band gets to go into a studio to record the song that they get to play. That's Awesome. Add to that, the little known fact that BAND GEEKS got laid about 4 to 5 times as much as a jock, well... these Band Geeks are the kings of band geeks. AWESOME!

Well who would have thought that being a band geek at my old high school would have such a cool pay off? Not so much for the alumni of good ol’ Cheshire High School, but rather the current marching band members are getting quite a cool reward for all their hard work.

According to an article in the New Haven Register and my girlfriend’s mom the Cheshire Marching “Ram” Band will be teaming up with none other than Spiderman himself! That’s right, it seems that there is a marching band sequence on fifth avenue involved in Spidey 3 and my girlfriend’s brother and sister are going to be in it. It seems that the band originally scheduled to appear in the sequence dropped out at the last minute and Sam Raimi needed a band ASAP and turned none other than the award winning marching band of a small town in Cheshire. Pretty cool news, eh?

The Band will be recorded in a studio and the music will be dubbed over the footage shot on location. No word yet on any story details but I hope to milk them out of my significant other’s siblings. Oh but the coolest news about it all? Seems the band will be marching to the beat of the Spiderman theme song! More on this as it breaks!
