Ahoy, squirts! Quint here... Sundance is about to hit and we're only a couple months from SXSW kicking into high gear... you'll see plenty of coverage of those fests here on AICN and all over the entertainment news world... But sometimes something so cool comes in that you just know isn't going to get mentioned by anyone... This story is here just to point to a badass festival being thrown in Nashville, TN, of all places, called The Samurai Film Festival.

Yes, Samurai Film Festival. Seven films (get it?) will be shown covering the work of 3 directors: Akira Kurosawa, Masaki Kobayashi and Kihachi Okamoto. What's even cooler is these are all new 35mm prints of some of the most iconic movies ever recorded onto filmstock. I don't know the people running this thing, but they seem like my kinda peoples. Read below for more info... You luck Nashville residents are in for a helluva treat it looks like... I'd kill to see THRONE OF BLOOD and SEVEN SAMURAI on the big screen!
