THE OC To Take On CSI, EARL, OFFICE & EVERWOOD!!

I am – Hercules!!

Sensing perhaps weakness at NBC now that the Peacock has replaced “The Apprentice” with comedies “My Name is Earl” and “The Office,” Fox is shifting Thursday anchor “The OC” from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., effective Jan. 12.

Old timeslot holder “Reunion” aired its last episode Dec. 15. Taking over the 8 p.m. hour are “That ‘70s Show” and, eventually, “Stacked.”

The bad news is “OC” now airs opposite top-rated “CSI.” The good news is the two shows attract presumably very different audiences.

The better news for “The OC” is it no longer has to compete with “Survivor,” “Smallville,” “Alias,” “Will & Grace” and “Everybody Hates Chris.”

Look! A press release!

"THAT '70s SHOW" JOINS "THE O.C." ON THURSDAYS BEGINNING JANUARY 12 ON FOX

THAT '70s SHOW will join THE O.C. on Thursdays beginning Jan. 12 on FOX. Back-to-back episodes of THAT '70s SHOW (8:00-8:30 and 8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) start the night, followed by THE O.C. (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

In the "Good Company" episode of THAT '70s SHOW Thursday, Jan. 12 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), Fez (Wilmer Valderrama) meets a promiscuous older woman at the salon who is interested in more than just a blowout. But when Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) realizes that Fez is dating her friend, tension mounts as Kitty's disapproval gets personal. Meanwhile, while searching through Donna's (Laura Prepon) room for gift ideas, Jackie (Mila Kunis) reads about Donna's new secret crush.

In the "Misfire" episode (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), Bruce Willis moonlights on the show. As Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty celebrate their 25th anniversary, Kelso (Ashton Kutcher) gets bitten by the marriage bug and decides to propose to Jackie. But Vic (guest star Willis), a sketchy fast-talker with a bad toupee, makes Kelso a job offer he cannot refuse.

When THE O.C. has its time period premiere Thursday, Jan. 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the countdown to graduation begins, and what would senior year be without getting the gang back together at Harbor? Summer, Seth and Ryan launch a mission-impossible campaign to get Marissa back into Harbor, and Johnny struggles between a friend's happiness and his own feelings. Meanwhile, Sandy must make an ethical decision that could change Marissa's fate, and Julie Cooper and Dr. Roberts are apprehensive about admitting to the lies they have told their daughters. The gang encourages the Harbor students to stand up on Marissa's behalf when Operation Free Marissa launches on "The Safe Harbor" episode of THE O.C. The episode is a tribute to the "Something in the Air" episode of former FOX hit "Beverly Hills 90210," when the BH gang fought for Donna's right to graduate.

From Wonderland Sound and Vision and College Hill Pictures and in association with Warner Bros. Television Production Inc., THE O.C. is executive-produced by Josh Schwartz, Bob DeLaurentis and McG. Stephanie Savage serves as co-executive producer and Ian Toynton is supervising producer. The series stars Peter Gallagher (Sandy Cohen), Kelly Rowan (Kirsten Cohen), Benjamin McKenzie (Ryan Atwood), Mischa Barton (Marissa Cooper), Adam Brody (Seth Cohen), Melinda Clarke (Julie Cooper) and Rachel Bilson (Summer Roberts).

THAT '70s SHOW is a Carsey-Werner production created by Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner and Mark Brazill. Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner, Dean Batali, Rob DesHotel and Mark Hudis are executive producers.
