Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...
Right now, the only way you can enjoy Crispin Glover’s unique WHAT IS IT is at one of these special events. Whenever Mr. C. Hellion Glover decides to show his film, it’s worth turning out for, and for those of you in Toronto, this Sunday is that day. There’s information about both a screening and a party here, so pay attention. Check out the details:
A shout out to all you Canadian Crispin Glover freaks in Ontario and the surrounding area. Daniloff Productions, and Rue Morgue magazine who both presented Alejandro Jodorowsky to Toronto last summer are now bringing Crispin to town as part of Rue Morgue’s “ Festival Of Fear ”.
You’ve seen him in River’s Edge, Wild At Heart, and Willard, but now you can see Crispin present his debut cinematic mind trip, ‘What Is It?’, presented in glorious 35 MM. The film will be screened at the Bloor Cinema (508 Bloor Street West) in Toronto on Sunday August 28th, at 7:30 pm. Along with the screening, Crispin will also present his, ‘Big Slide Show’, and a Q&A following the film.
Those who have witnessed Crispin’s slide show and have had the opportunity to hear him speak, will tell you that this is definitely one event you CAN’T miss.

"In the world of screen actors, perhaps being a hero is measured not by how many Oscar nominations you've racked up, or by how many younger thespians you've influenced, but by how fiercely you maintain your creative integrity over the years. That unique mixture of high acting style, scene stealing, and intense emotional engagement has won Crispin Glover a rabid cult following, and more recently, helped nab him the Maverick Award from Method Fest, a film festival dedicated to the craft of acting that runs in Calabasas, CA. The career-recognition award was presented to Glover by another iconoclast, legendary filmmaker and friend, Werner Herzog."
-"Crispin Glover is the only actor who can make this world without Andy Kaufman an interesting place in which to watch."
-Kier La Janisse, Film Comment
