Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with another report on some interesting character actor casting, this time it's for Platinum Dunes' remake of THE HITCHER. It seems that noneother than Sam Rockwell is in final negotiations to play the title role. All of a sudden my interest in this film shot up. I love Rockwell and to see him sink his teeth into this role... if they play it with even a quarter of the dirtiness and creepiness of the original then this could be a classic performance. Much like Crispin Glover and BEOWULF, Rockwell hasn't signed his contract yet, so this could change, but I love this casting, so I hope it all comes together. That Rockwell charm mixed with a crazy insane personality sounds like a good mix to me!
