Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...
I know... what the fuck is CACHE? Well, it’s the newest thriller from Austrian filmmaker Michael Haneke, who has made some of the most disturbing movies in recent memory, like FUNNY GAMES or THE PIANO TEACHER. Many of the people who saw CACHE at the Cannes Festival are saying it’s the best thing that Haneke’s done so far, which is high praise indeed.
Here’s a glimpse of the film. Be warned... the trailer is in French with no subtitles, but I think it gives you an idea of how great the cast is (Daniel Auteuil is one of the best actors working in any language right now) and the mood of the film as a whole:

Evidently, the film’s about a couple who start getting videotapes sent to them that seem to have been shot inside their house. I don’t want to know anything more than that, because I’m sure half the fun in a film like this is watching all the pieces fall into place.
I’m not sure when this will get distribution in the U.S., but if you know, please drop me a line and clue me in. I’m eager to see it.
