Animation favorite 9 being made into a feature by Focus!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with some very interesting news. I first heard about 9 when I was running a preview of anticipated films playing SUNDANCE. This animated short film by Shane Acker jumped out at me... it's a 3-D short and the trailer on Acker's website was fucking sharp as hell. Matter of fact:
The Trades broke the story today that Acker is directing a feature length film based on the short which will be produced by a familiar name or two including Tim Burton and the Russian director behind the upcoming NIGHT WATCH.
I'm psyched for this flick, even though I haven't seen the full short yet. That trailer was gorgeous and just plain cool! What do you folks think?
