Here are some tidbits from today's DC Justice League/The Batman panel your readers might want to know about.
JLU will be returning next season! After next week's Epilogue story it made some wonder. Next season will start off with Lex Luthor escaping from prison only to hook up with...(wait for it)... The Legion of Doom! Yes next season will focus a great deal on the Legion of Doom and they even come with their own updated Doom Headquarters!
What else is on the line up? One of the panelists said his favorite episode from next season will feature Stargirl. Paul Dinni said the Vixen, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl love triangle will get a whole lot more interesting when Hawkgirl meets a certain Carter Hall.
After the JLU presentation, most people left, but many filled in the vacant seats to find out about the next season of The Batman. A new theme song, that sounds a bit funky to me. While it is original, it reminded me of the 60s Batman series. Also joining the lineup next season will be Commisioner Gordon, Poison Ivy, and Batgirl. DC feels Robin is too busy with Teen Titans to include him in The Batman.
The session wrapped with a look at The Batman vs. Dracula direct to DVD movie that will be coming out in October. Not much applause after viewing the first 15 minutes or so. It seemed to drag, but we did get to see Dracula rise from the grave thanks to Penguin's blood.
It was downplayed quite a bit, but we can also expect to see a direct to DVD Superman:TAS movie by the end of the year. It will be a mix between the original TAS series and the JLU.
