I just got home from a screening of Danny Boyle's 'Millions', after which the director engaged in a twenty minute Q and A with the audience. I asked him about the status of the sequel to 28 Days Later, and negotiations are apparently underway to recruit Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, director of 'Intacto', to helm the film.

INTACTO is a flawed film, but Juan Carlos Frasnadillo proved that he could manipulate the energy and suspense whenever he needed to, got some great performances out of his actors and in general made an extremely atmospheric film. I'm happy with this choice and if Boyle himself isn't going to helm 28 WEEKS LATER, then I'm glad he's going for another young filmmaker with a great visual style. What do you folks think?
