Hey, folks. Quint here with a totally unconfirmed rumor about a possible casting choice for Ron Howard's upcoming adaptation of Dan Brown's THE DA VINCI CODE. Having not read the book (didn't seem like my cup of tea at the time it came out and now I'd like to go into the film fresh) and not knowing the character of Silas, I can't give an opinion on this rumor, other than really liking Jim Carrey, especially after ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND. The fellow below believes this to be a bad idea. What do you folks think?
I have this on very good authority that Ron Howard is working out a deal with Jim Carey for the part of 'Silas'. Howard's people are saying that they are actually casting 'european' for the part to cover that fact. Whatever integrity was in this project or Howard himself has just been completely annihilated. What, Tom Hanks wasn't enough to bring in the box office???
