'Shoot the glass... boy, am I depressed...' HGTTG's Marvin has a voice!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with some exciting news for us HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY fans. According to HITCHHIKER'S fansite Planet Magrathea, director Garth Jennings dropped a bomb or two during an interview with the BBC Radio 1 about some additional casting in the film... some very important voices. One voice in particular I know I'm looking forward to hearing is that of Marvin, the depressed robot.
Marvin will be voiced by noneother than Alan Rickman and that has me giddy as a schoolgirl on holiday! Rickman can reach an amazingly scortching sarcastic tone with his voice and I just can't wait to hear it coming out of that slumped over sad little figure. Just look at his work in GALAXY QUEST for a bit of that sarcasm... strangely enough, a co-starring role with Sam Rockwell, who's playing Zaphod Beeblebrox.
This is note perfect... God, I hope this movie is everything it can be... With the cast they have already and the early design work, I hope this movie rules the earth... erm, I mean the Universe... Don't panic, squirts. It looks like all aspects of production are lining up. This one could work!!!
Bill Bailey, a British TV star of whom I know nothing of, but was apparently in something called BLACK BOOKS, is going to voice The Whale, which if I'm not mistaken is quite a small, but funny moment. I may be wrong, as I'm only into THE RESTAURANT AT THE END OF THE UNIVERSE at the moment. Anyway, click below for the full story... and a couple of pics of Arthur, Ford, Zaphod and Marvin himself.
