Hey folks, Harry here.... Sorry I've let ya down on spotting this one earlier... I should have been focused on this movie a helluvalot earlier than I am. Why? Well on a surface level it may just look like one of those lessor Bruce Willis phoned in thriller things that very rarely if ever seem to satisfy. Now don't get me wrong, I love my Bruce Willis movies like nobody's business, but let's face it... his suspense movies typically are Grade C endeavors. Now - why do I have my panties ripped off and ready to lay down with this otherwise unremarkable flick? Florent Emilio Siri. Who? Forent Emilio Siri, the director of a fucking great French knock off of ASSAULT ON PRECINT 13 that came out in 2002 called NID DE GUEPES (available direct to DVD in the United States as THE NEST - and never received the domestic Theatrical release it so ripely deserved.) Since 2002 - Florent had directed the development of two SPLINTER CELL video games - before becoming attached to and shooting HOSTAGE, based upon Robert Crais' novel of the same name. Now - I loved NID DE GUEPES, and hope that Florent has a successful jaunt in the world of American filmmaking with this flick. We'll see soon enough, it comes out towards the end of January! Here ya go...
