Adam Carolla Talker To Get Old TOUGH CROWD Slot''

I am – Hercules!!

A story in Wednesday morning’s Hollywood Reporter suggests that Adam Carolla, one of the funniest humans on the planet, is getting his own talk show on Comedy Central.

The show could air nightly right after “The Daily Show” if Comedy Central doesn’t give the old “Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn” spot to D.L. Hughley, who is also developing a show for the channel. (Carolla and Hughley both got tryouts this autumn at Craig Kilborn’s old “Late Late Show” desk (before CBS decided to go with Craig Ferguson as the hour's new host).

The trade paper suggests cheekily that Comedy Central has not ruled out cablecasting the Carolla show at midnight, which would pit Carolla against his old "Man Show" partner Jimmy Kimmel on ABC.

This is the second piece of great news to emerge from Comedy Central in recent weeks. Last month the channel announced that it would give former “Weekend Update” hero Norm Macdonald a sketch series modeled after “Chappelle’s Show.”
