MONTY PYTHON & THE HOLY GRAIL On Broadway' As A Musical'!

Hi, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab...

Is everyone trying to get in on the PRODUCERS gravy train at this point? Don’t people realize that lightning rarely strikes twice? I mean, who do these no-talent hacks think they are?

Oh... wait... hold on a moment. I’m talking about Monty Python. Those guys are frickin’ geniuses, and can do pretty much whatever they want, and Python fanatics like myself will lap it up and come back for seconds. Check this crazy shit out:

hey harry,

I just attended an event tonight in San Francisco called "John Cleese's Life and Times" and he one of the things he mentioned to the audience was that there is currently in the works a Broadway version of Holy Grail. He said Eric Idle came up with the idea and has written some "very nice" songs for it. He said Eric's title for it is "Spamelot."

AND, he said they were trying to get Mike Nichols to direct.

He did mention that the original Python people would NOT be acting in it as he said they're too old and would have heart attacks performing 8 nights a week.

He also mentioned that it was he who suggested Marty Feldman branch out of just writing and become a performer.

If you use this please call me Sherman.

Thanks, Sherman. Anyone else see that creepy/hilarious photo of the remaining Pythons in coffins in the most recent VANITY FAIR? I was impressed until I learned they were photoshopped together because they didn’t want to have to be all in the same place at the same time. So what do you guys think? Would you go see a Python-scripted and inspired show… if there’s no Python in it?

"Moriarty" out.
