New 50th Anniversary GODZILLA Movie To Be Huge DESTROY ALL MONSTERS remake'

Hey folks, Harry here with MAN IN SUIT excitement beginning to kick in. Ok... bringing in director Ryuhei Kitamura to direct this GODZILLA 50th Anniversary film was hugely exciting for me. Especially after falling in love with his latest flick, AZUMI. However, the concept of at least 10 Toho Creations going at it... around the world... destroying cities on continents everywhere? This sound at all like DESTROY ALL MONSTERS to anyone? Toho has remade many of the classics, but have... to date, not attempted a full on DESTROY ALL MONSTERS remake. If so... This could be so super fantastic that all proper geeky geeks will explode in geekgasms continuously while watching the inevitable resulting masterpiece of Kaiju Cinema! MEN IN SUITS!!! LOTS OF EM!!! Hehehehehe!

Hey Harry,

Just in case by some small chance you haven't read or heard or caught this bit of news yet--

Monster Zero News (Monster Zero News) found this out from the folks at Kung Fu Cult Cinema (KFCcinema):

"Toho has doubled the budget for the 50th anniversary film, farming out digital effects and composites to an American company. The movie will also have a longer production period compared to the last few Godzilla movies and the apparent reason behind these adjustments seem that Toho is strongly aiming this one for the international market.

The film's producer, Shogo Tomiyama, was quoted in a press interview that "at least ten favorite [Kaiju monster] characters and five actors from the last 50 years." Will appear in the movie. Ryuhei Kitamura (Versus, Azumi) will indeed be directing the 50th anniversary film. Another interesting rumor around is that New York might also be under attack by the monsters as well as other major cities around the world. More news coming soon."

Wow. If this is all true, I think I'll be even more excited about this movie than the time I heard that Shusuke Kaneko was directing a Godzilla movie. The Versus guy directing a monster flick with at least 10 monsters? With double the regular budget and longer production time? Holy crap! How is this going to turn out?!? I'm even more curious about which American company will handle the digital effects...

Here's hoping the 50th anniversary Godzilla flick is a special one!
