WONDERFALLS!!!! Learn When The Season

I am – Hercules!!

March 12!!

Crikey! “Wonderfalls” is getting the old Friday “Dark Angel”-“John Doe” timeslot that “Boston Public” is filling at the moment!! Which means we need to make a real effort to watch until Fox can move it Tuesdays at 8 p.m. (or some other less miserable timeslot)!!

Based on the pilot I saw and the scriptage I’ve read, “Wonderfalls” is easily the best new series being aired on television this season.

It’s a comedy-fantasy hourlong about an angry, overeducated souvenir-shop employee who begins receiving uncanny (and unsolicited) instructions from the souvenirs. It’s overseen by no fewer than two bona fide genius writer-producers: Bryan Fuller (the “Deep Space Nine” vet who went on to mastermind Showtime’s “Dead Like Me”) and Tim Minear (the “Firefly” co-showrunner who made his name authoring the best “Angel” episodes ever – including last season’s incredible Wolfram & Hart finale).

Another piece of good Fox-type news:

“Cracking Up,” the new sitcom starring Jason Schwartzman (“Rushmore”) from writer-producer-directors Chris & Paul Weitz (“About a Boy”) and writer-producer Mike White (“Pasadena,” “Chuck and Buck,” “The Good Girl,” “School of Rock”), has an airdate too now! It premieres March 8!

In other Fox news:

Certified comedy genius Norm Macdonald is unemployed again. Fox has pulled the plug on “A Minute With Stan Hooper.” And there’s still no word when we’ll be seeing Marti Noxon’s new Fox afterlife drama, “Still Life.”
