For the record, at this month's Saturday Morning Kids Club, I'm showing Baio's immortal classic BUGSY MALONE! That movie kicks so much ass! Though ZAPPED! is pretty out-standing! Here ya go...

Dear Harry:

This isn't really a scoop per se, but more along the lines of sharing an experience. Last night I went to an invite only screening of the Scott Baio/Willie Aames, teen sex comedy, Carrie-spoof classic "Zapped!" at the Two Boots Pioneer Theater in NYC. Felice Schachter was there to introduce the film and looked as beautiful as ever. She seemed shocked to see the small, 100 seat capacity theater packed to the limits and was very appreciative to everyone who spoke to her. Before the screening she shared details of the cast and crew's biographies for those of us who didn't know, stopping briefly to complain how much she hated her hairstyle in the film despite her love for Peter Tothpal. The organizer of the screening, a very beautiful girl named Becky that I never actually got to meet, was one of Robert J. Roenthal's nieces. She was sporting a very becoming, classic satin 80's style jacket with the film's original title, Whiz Kid, on the back.

I hadn't seen this film in ages and forget how damn funny it really is. The audience, filled with hard-core fans, whistled and clapped throughout, and all had a blast. After the screening when someone asked Felice why she hated her hairstyle, she had suddenly changed her tune after seeing the film again for the first time in "10 or 20 years." "I actually really like it now," she said. After a question on Scott Baio's make-out skills, Felice noticeably blushed and became silent for a number of moments. She then shared how during their kissing scenes (which she said were reshot a year later to be more steamy), she thought Scott was a horrible kisser because he just pressed his lips to hers and just moved his head around, while she was trying to shove her tongue down his throat. "I thought, 'Oh God! Scott Baio is the worst kisser in the world!,'" she said. She went on to say how she would later learn in an acting class a year later while studying movie kissing that Scott was giving her a professional screen kiss (something she had never heard of at the time I guess) and was horribly embarrassed.

The good news for Zapped! fans is that the film is finally coming to DVD. Everything was being filmed for extras on the DVD and many of us were asked to do our best Scott Baio Zapped! concentration face for the camera at the after party. I believe it is due out sometime next year.

All the best,

Alonzo Mosley, FBI
