Hey folks, Harry here with Tengukyo from Tokyo who has brought the new Zatoichi trailer to my attention. This trailer kicks much ass.... though I miss the quiet beginning with the scraping of the wood shoes along a path at night, but hey... I love all new material, and this trailer begins to hint at the level of violence this'll have. Between this film... and the Samurai one that Kitano is doing with Miike... well, this'll be a good year for Swords when ya throw in KILL BILL and THE LAST SAMURAI! Oh and the best film of em all... THE TWILIGHT SAMURAI, which opened last year in Japan, but I'll be reviewing soon. Tremendous film. Here ya go...

The buzz for Zatoichi has begun here in Japan! It comes out September 9th...Takeshi's still doing his regular TV shows, but with his new blonde "do"... The trailer is awesome, it's in Japanese but you'll get the jist anyway.But one of the cool things he says is "I can smell the blood..."
