Hey folks, Harry here... earlier this year I had a long conversation with Stallone about JUDGE DREDD - You could tell he was heartbroken about the character. He loved the comics, wanted to do a whole series of the films, but he knew as the filming on that film was commencing that it just wasn't working. He so wanted to make a Judge Death film, was so looking to doing the character over and over, but the terrible missteps could never be corrected. I don't know much about these Shoreline Entertainment JUDGE DREDD films, but certainly I hope they nail it. There is such great adventures to be had with that character and that world. I just want it to maintain that seedy lowlife fantasy feel that the books seemed to leak into your conciousness as ya read.

Long time reader first time poster. I just read on UK site mjsimpson.co.uk some rather cool news about the new Judge Dredd films to be produced by Shoreline Entertainment. The first will be called Dredd Reckoning and will introduce audiences to the world of Mege-City One and to rookie Judge Dredd. Haunted by the death of his mentor, Dredd battles against gangster Max Voltek and a killer cyborg beast called the Phantom while exposing corruption at the heighest levels of the Law Department. Judge Hershey will be in this one too.
The second film will be called Judge Dredd: Possession. This will feature fan fave Judge Anderson from Psi Division fighting the Dark Judges - Death, Fear, Fire and Mortis. With sequences set in the Cursed Earth and a Judge Death led zombie army laying waste to Mega-City One!!! These films promise to expell the foul memory of that Stallone fiasco. A Director is attached and the screenwriter is British. The first film is set to begin shooting in late June or early July.
