Demonic Smurfs will fight for Merlin in Antoine Fuqua's KING ARTHUR

Hey folks, Harry here... ok, maybe they ain't demonic smurfs, but the will definitely be painted blue.... I guess the success of Nightcrawler and Mystique coupled with half of Mel Gibson's face in BRAVEHEART - has resulted in Blue becoming a color associated with "ASS KICKING" so in this warrior princess Guinevere flick... We'll end up with demonic blue Merlin Warriors... will they be nicknamed... "The Blue Meanies"?

Hey Harry,

Partook of a casting for extras in relation to the "King Arthur" film here in Dublin at a place perhaps auspiciously refereed to as "The Factory". Despite previous calls over the recent weeks it seems the studio guys wanted to see yet even more fresh blood. Especially those with "athletic though not overly muscular swimmer physiques". I won't bore you with the usual "we went in, took off our tops, flexed some muscles and got photographed" drab narration with is the norm for nearly ever casting call for extras, other to say that the specific call for this body type was for "Merlin's Warriors".

When asked how we felt about running around a forest for a few weeks painted blue with the opportunity of kicking the shit out of Saxons and such we all gave a hearty exclamation of "Too Right!"

The part is for three weeks and the only other information we were given was that Merlin's Warriors (apart from being of the blue skin tone) were described as somewhat "demonic" with instructions that our parts would entail us being quite feral and violent. We pushed for more ("How violent?")but the nice lady would only add "Very Violent". Don't know if I will be picked as there seemed to be a preference with guys with long hear and/or beards with I neither possess though a lot of them had the telltale Irish beer gut despite the call requiring "fit and tonned people of a low body fat ratio" which I do have so we'll just have to wait and see.

Regards,

Keep up the good work.

If you use this you can call me Brodie Magenta.
