The photos themselves all appear to be from the opening scenes of the movie, which should be familiar to any of you who have read SEED OF DESTRUCTION, the HELLBOY collection that the film draws the majority of its inspiration from.
Seeing these characters come to life, knowing how long Guillermo’s been trying to get this thing made... it’s one of those great feelings of satisfaction. The system worked. One of the good guys got something made, and it just might turn out to be great.
I love that even though these aren’t finished and retouched publicity shots, there’s already mood to spare. Rasputin’s particularly creepy.
And I’m wondering... is there someone missing from that group shot? Hmmmmmmmm?
Great stuff. Thanks for sending us the heads up. And I envy anyone who gets to go watch Guillermo work right now. It’s got to be one of the coolest sets anywhere at this moment.
