Pixar's FINDING NEMO and THE INCREDIBLES!!!
Hey folks, Harry here... Last night in Las Vegas at the fabulous ShoWest, they screened a nearly finished FINDING NEMO for exhibitors, we've yet to receive a full report on the event, but I have learned that when FINDING NEMO debuts this summer in theaters everywhere, it will be accompanied with the most anticipated (by me) trailer of the year. That's right, Brad Bird's Pixar Debut... THE INCREDIBLES will have its trailer attached to the front of FINDING NEMO. This mysterious film about a nuclear family unite all with Super Powers has been an "incredibly" well guarded secret! It will be so nice to see Brad Bird given the treatment he deserves at Pixar, especially after the 2x4 treatment that Warner Bros. gave him during the release of THE IRON GIANT. At least it has become a classic in homes! Here's an oh to brief snippet about FINDING NEMO from last night's screening, hopefully we'll be hearing more today!
saw finding nemo this evening.
three quick things to say before i hit the hay:
1. This may be the first pixar movie to get a pg rating (probably due the shark chase scene)
2. steve jobs was on hand to talk about the flick, followed by john lassiter, and then the director (name forgotten)
3. this is better movie than expected. its not finished, as evidenced by the fishing boat scene toward the end, but what we saw was almost as good as done. there were no songs, hard to imagine where they'll be slotted in.
4. opening the evening with robert goulet and the disney dancers doing 'you got a friend in me' was priceless. oops, thats four things.
5. while we're going beyond three, bruce the 12 step shark stole the show the brief period he was on - remember, 'fish are friends, not food.'
thats all i have for now, i'll compile a better review tomorrow if you're interested.
if you use any of this, just call me s.h.a.d.o
