Hey folks, Harry here. New Line has just released the look of the WILLARD one-sheet. As a long time fan of Crispin Glover, the concept of having him star in a feature film... well, it makes me giddy. Afterall, the last film that starred him that I saw was the wonderful BARTLEBY, which I think 5 people saw, but they all loved it... Actually if memory serves, one of the other people on Planet Earth to see that film was Capone up in Chi-Town - and I believe he loved it as much as I. Alas, the world isn't as strange as the fans of Crispin Glover would have it, but the studio behind ABOUT SCHMIDT and THE LORD OF THE RINGS... well, they remember their roots and go back to that territory from time to time, THANK GOD, and we end up with strokes of genius like... Crispin Glover starring as WILLARD.

Now the original movie promotion work for the original WILLARD stressed the HORROR aspect, this poster I believe is stressing the supernatural communicative relationship between Willard and Ben. OH, speaking of Ben, it seems that Michael Jackson's Oscar Nominated song is being dusted off and re-interpretated by Crispin Glover himself, and is even going to have a music video shot featuring Crispin singing BEN. That officially puts the CULT meter into mercury overload.

We get WILLARD around March 14th I believe. I just wonder if the inevitable banner ads on the front page of AICN will feature the sounds of rats scratching at blackness as the letters WILLARD are spelled out excruciatingly slowly, thus driving the readership absolutely insane. Personally, I like the idea. The sound of rats gnawing and scratching at the top of AICN... all for the promotion of a Crispin Glover film... It just makes me proud to be a geek.
