KILL BILL Trailer LIVE AND KICKING ASS!!!!

I need to see this movie now... Harry Out...

Here are the images in the trailer that I was on set for...

The above two shots take place at Hattori Hanzo's attic of his Sushi Shop... Wait until you hear Sonny Chiba deliver his lines in these scenes... the presentation of the Hanzo Steel is a scene that will live in memory for all time. He is absolutely commanding in these scenes!

The above scene is something not in the script drafts that have leaked online, but in the new version of KILL BILL which has yet to be seen by the eyes of man. It is a flashback scene to the first time that "The Bride" saw Bill Kill... It's Bill versus 4 martial arts fiends seeking revenge for the death of their master. The leader of this band is Michael Jai White's character - who believes in the above shot that he's about to kick Bill's ass... Uh huh... Riiiiiiiight....

Lastly... I wasn't on-set for the above shot, but the hatchet in this scene was given to Scott Spiegel (yeah that guy) and as Hattori Hanzo was presenting the sword of vengeance to Uma - Scott and I were off camera trying to kill each other with this hatchet and discussing our version of a NC-17 Porn FANTASTIC VOYAGE adventure film. It was... Genius! Scott! Let's make it happen baby!

A couple of comments about the trailer - I can't think of the last time I saw a trailer edited to music this well... Also - is this the only Miramax Trailer ever cut without MR VOICE? What a difference silence makes eh? God this music kicks ass!

Hey, gang... "Moriarty" here. I just want to chime in that I'm not nearly as immersed in the world of KILL BILL so far. I didn't go to China. I am not operating under the assumption that I cast the title character. All I am is one of you, a fan curious to see what the hell QT is up to his fourth time at bat.

Sweet... tapdancing... baby Jesus...

That trailer is crack, man. I played it five times in a row. I called up my buddies to tell them to hit their computers at home. I am going to show it to everyone in the house several times tonight. I am smitten.

Quentin, if you deliver on that teaser's promise, I'm going to write you the biggest sloppy wet kiss of a review ever. I am in the mood for the movie I just saw condensed into 90 seconds. I want to roll around in that film. Between this, the MATRIX sequels, and RETURN OF THE KING, how can 2003 be anything but one big bone-ratting geekgasm from end to end?

BRING IT ON, MOTHERFUCKER!! NOW!!

Harry here again... I've noticed some blind people in talkback talking about how there is non-stop wire-fu in this trailer, and I would just like to point out that there is only one character in this trailer operating with wires doing gravity defying martial arts and that's Pei Mei the hundreds of years old Martial Arts master that leaps over The Bride then atop the blade of her sword. He's doing crazy wire-fu because unlike every other character in this movie he has super powers... The rest of the action seen in this trailer is old fashioned martial arts choreography. I know... I was on set to see the stuff being done.

Also, folks want to know why to be excited about this... what is so different about this? Ok, I suppose if you don't know then to a certain degree it's impossible to explain... but I'll give it a whirl... why the hell not...

This entire trailer is a celebration of a genre near and dear to the hearts of film geeks everywhere... the KUNG FU FILM! What Quentin is doing is making the genre his own - look at the color schemes - the set design -- all pure Quentin Tarantino hyper-reality. The outdoor showdown between Uma and Lucy Liu looks fake? Well no shit, that's a set inside a Japanese upper class restaurant called THE HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES and those trees... they're the BLUE LEAVES... The film has a retro-feel, because that's the feel the film is going for. What is the trailer telling you? It is telling you this is wall-to-wall action. There are hints of 8 different action showdowns that take place in the film... and that's not all of them. Remember - this is a teaser for a movie that is 10 months from coming out. Take a look at the MATRIX RELOADED teaser or X2 teaser or T3 teasers or CHARLIE'S ANGELS 2 teaser... For my money they are all limp flaccid members of the wannabe-badass society. Listen to those sound effects, the absolutely perfect editing to the music... realize that the action in this film will be note-perfect editing. That every character is developed and fleshed out. That everyone has motivations, tragic flaws and pasts... though none have futures.

Maybe it is that I was raised on Shaw Brothers and Jack Hill films... Maybe... But I'm genetically charged and environmentally-reared to get jazzed as all hell to see this movie. And yes, being on set does add to that... because I've seen the long dialogue scenes... that's mainly what I was there for... and the dialogue is even better than the images in this trailer. So naysay all you want... Come October 2003 - you'll be eating this with your fingers and licking every last drop of it up. That, I guaran-fucking-tee ya!

By the way - the KILL BILL Website is up and way cool... click on the first two marks in the 4 hashes and get ready for coolness...
