Filming on THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN underway'

Harry here... Ok, this is the second report I've seen telling me that they are shooting THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN in Chicago right now. However, 10 to 1, they technically aren't shooting the movie - they can't. there's no script yet. Michael Chabon is starting from scratch and will be delivering it soon... HOWEVER, I bet you anything that they are shooting a Teaser trailer to stick on DAREDEVIL on Valentine's Day next year. Wanna bet? We'll be following up to find out.

Hey Harry, just a bit of news regarding the movie.

They're already shooting it. I've been calling people all day from the set and everyone tells me that Spider-Man II hasn't begun yet but there are a hundred of us extras and the crew that can prove otherwise. We were in Chicago's Union Station today (the same one from De Palma's The Untouchables) shooting scenes for Spider-Man II. We weren't actually in the grand hall way, we were on the platform and they were filming us walking past a train just leaving the station. I was there all day and couldn't at all spot Sam Raimi. He was MIA. I kept looking for the guy in the suit but he wasn't there. Then I figured he wasn't wearing his suit today, that he only wears it for the still photographer but couldn't find him at all, and I do know what he looks like. Instead, we were directed by 2 ADs today.

All we were doing were walking down a platform with two trains, one on each side. The one on the right was departing while the one of the left was standing still. This took all day and we'll be returning on Monday to do it again. I've done tons of extra work and a scene like this might take 3 hours, not two days except there was a slight difference.

There were 17 cameras. Filming this simple scene But the stars weren't there and neither was Raimi. I'll try to find out some more on Monday.

I know this isn't alot of info, but if you decide to post this, just call me "a face in the crowd." The Amazing Spider-Man has begun...
