TRON 2.0 News!

Hey folks, Harry here... TRON 2.0 is one of those erection concepts. One of those things that if done right would have me screaming joygasms for months, and spitting out fire and shitting thunder if they did it wrong. I love TRON. Own it on Video, VideoDisc, LaserDisc, Dvd and 16mm film. TRON is just one of my happy places, and through all this CG innovation, and the evolution of computer programming... As teams of people work on programs, I've often wondered about the concepts of what collective souls being put into programs would be like.... Would WINDOWS be as schizophrenic in person as it is on my computer? Would APPLE's OS-X Be like a lick orgy at the Baskin Robbins? Hmmmm, important questions to be sure!

Harry...I read your site quite often, but never really have any information since I mostly work with video games. I recently did some work with a company called Monolith Productions who are putting together a game loosely based on the movie TRON.

Tron (for the PC) is a stand alone game. It is not being based on any other project or film to date. But what is interesting is that the suits were so happy with the project, that a second game is already in development for a 2004 release with the new film TRON 2.0.

We had several Disney artists visit our studios the other day to comment and throw ideas back and forth on the "updated" look for the characters and enviroments. A good portion of our original ideas are going to be incorporated into a new feature film to be released around the same time the new game hits (fall 2004) One of our team asked if any of the original actors want to come in and have their movements captured, and they said "Bruce (Boxlightner sp?) and Jeff (Bridges) have yet to see the final draft and sign off on the script, but when they do...we'll set up some time for them."

**MY PERSONAL $.02**

What got me was that they said "When they sign..." not "If they sign..." So I am thinking that our man Flynn will be back :-)
