Full Theatrical Trailer For ROAD TO PERDITION OnLine!

Hey folks, Harry here... Had a talk with some folks over at Dreamworks about the whole seemingly waxing over this film's comic book roots and they seemed shocked by that, til I pointed out that the television commercial they put up stated that it was based upon a novel, which isn't exactly true. Then on the theatrical trailer that was released today (and is excellent) the credit still reads based upon a novel. Now, folks... it seems that Dreamworks isn't overtly trying to distance themselves. Not only are they reprinting the original Max Allan Collins Graphic Novel, but they have commisioned a new graphic novel adaptation based upon the film version, which I hear kicks much ass.

Now folks, I personally guarantee you that the trailer you see below is being aimed at the 'Tom Hanks' audience of safe family types. Having read the script, having shared emails with Capone - who has seen the film... Well, this film isn't your regular safe type of Tom Hanks film. He isn't all warm and cuddly in this flick. When Paul Newman says that there is one thing that is guaranteed, none of us will see heaven... That is very true, especially of Tom Hanks' character. He is a killer. Cold and unjust. Like Tomisaburo Wakayama, Tom Hanks will mow people down, and Capone said, "ROAD TO PERDITION is as dark a movie as I’ve ever seen, both in mood and visually." "The violence in this film is substantial, and Mendes has found a remarkable way to film spraying gun play, detailed head shots, and bloody wounds that is unlike anything I’ve seen before. Gun shots are as loud as cannon fire, flying brains are often a result of these killings." (Click here to read his whole review!!!) This is one of the genuine films to be excited about this summer. Think of this trailer as a held breath, before squeezing off a round. Here ya go...
