Test Screening look at UNDERCOVER BROTHER!

Hey folks, Harry here... I love the trailer for UNDERCOVER BROTHER. I feel the trailer for UNDERCOVER BROTHER is 9 to 20 times funnier than any of the trailers thus far for AUSTIN POWERS 3. In fact, that isn't accurate, because there isn't a single laugh in any of the AUSTIN POWERS trailers thus far, and the UNDERCOVER BROTHER trailer has laughs throughout. Now the first look at answering the question of whether or not all the funny gags in the film have been sandwiched into the trailer for UNDERCOVER BROTHER and that the film is stretched an hour and a half out of that material and drags like hell... or not. And it looks like the film works, even the animatronic escaped creation from Henson codenamed Denise Richards apparently is not terrible. I really can't believe that yet. But here ya go....

Ok Harry,

Long time reader, first time contributor. I have noticed that there is surprisingly little info on the upcoming Eddie Griffin movie, Undercover Brother. I just came from the Hollywood Galaxy 6 theater where I was party to my first test screening. Without further nonsense, lets get into it.

Well, lemme start by saying, I HATE DENISE RICHARDS...... I do not think she should be allowed to pollute such fine franchises as the Bond series and furthermore, I would be able to die a happy man knowing that she's not allowed to destroy the credibility of another movie even if said movie is not going for "credible". As it is not a perfect world, I guess we can't always get what we want. I will say however, that she does NOT (holy crap am I actually saying this!?!?) ruin this movie, I will go further in saying that she (GOD NO!!! STOP TALKING) actually fit the part she played in this movie perfectly. OK OK OK, enough of my Denise Richards rant.....

I will make this quick as it is fairly late for my pathetic 50 year old in a 24 year old's body. We all know the story, Eddie Griffin is an undercover spy-type in the mold of John Shaft meets James Bond meets Austin Powers (without the limey accent) and he is on a mission the stop the "Man" and his lackey, Mr. Feather (Played by Chris Kattan) from controlling the minds of black people everywhere. The movie is the rebirth of the 70's black genre film with a parody feeling to it. It gets going with the jokes about 30 seconds into it and goes full tilt all the way to the end credits (actually through the end credits too!) The audience I watched this movie with was dying laughing throughout. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the work all of the actors did in this movie. Everyone nailed their parts on the head. Pay close attention to Neil Patrick Harris (TV's Doogie Howser) this guy was absolutely hilarious every time he is in front of the camera. Dave Chappelle was great... and.... well.... you all get my point, everyone was great.

I definitely believe that if this movie does good in the box office we will see sequels..... they set it up to be sequel ready. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a good summer popcorn comedy. It never takes itself seriously and it is always funny throughout. Unfortunately no one from the movie was there for any Q & A, but then again, I really didn't expect them to be there. I am hoping that if this movie gets some good word of mouth it will do well, I would LOVE to see another Undercover Brother as they just barely chipped the surface of that potential that this comedy could have.
