Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here with some Rumblings From The Lab.

I got this from a guy last week, but lost it in my inbox. It’s still news, as far as I can tell, and interesting. The idea of seeing Tobey Maguire face down with Doc Ock in the second film is exciting, and there’s a set-up for The Lizard in the first film for fans who are paying attention. I’m already jazzed to see the second movie. Thank god I’ll be able to watch the first one about 40 times between now and then to hold me over...

Hey Drew!

Just wanted to let you know I enjoyed your review of "Spider-Man." I saw it over the weekend too as part of my junket activities. Unlike you, the Green Goblin's helmet (no moving lips) and the strange way the CGI made Spidey move in the action scenes made me like the stuff out of the costume the best (although I did enjoy the final battle).

Wanted to give you a few tidbits that came out of our junket interviews. We asked everyone what villain they were planning on using for the sequel. No one gave us an answer until Kirsten Dunst (who we got last) said Doc Ock and maybe the Lizard too. I guess she hadn't been warned not to say anything. I asked her what her friends thought of her reading comics to bone up on the role and said her friends never saw her read them and that she was glad MJ was a little deeper in the movie. She then did a hilarious ditzy line reading of "You really hit the jackpot, tiger!" She also said she thinks MJ realizes Peter is Spidey at the end of the film.

Interestingly, because Tobey is a vegetarian, he had to work doubly hard to get in shape for the film (and that is his body in the mirror in his room).

I asked James Franco if he would like it if somewhere down the line his character went into the gas and came out a supervillain and he said he would love it (in the meantime, I'm sure he'll be financing whatever villains come along).
