Hey folks, Harry here... REIGN OF FIRE has been a very quiet project. We ain't got no teasers yet. We haven't seen any footage of coolness yet. We haven't seen their designs for the dragons yet. All we've seen is a skinhead bongo boy looking like a ROAD WARRIOR extra and burnt out FULL METAL JACKET looking city areas. Now the idea that Dragons are doing all this... well the devastation and the half melted buses look cool, but what about the Dragons. I mean, are they as scary as Pete's Dragon? Or really distrubing like Puff the Magic Dragon? Obviously they're scary enough for Matthew to shave his head, because... well he remembers what happened to Michael Jackson and Richard Pryor.... that hair stuff is flammable.... best to shave that stuff off. Good show. I'm dying to see what these critters look like. Give me a heads up if you have pics or have seen em. A'ight? cool.

Anyway, I caught about ten minutes -- a very rough ten minutes-- of the end, big impressive finale of REIGN OF FIRE. Now-- there was a lot of unfinished greenscreen work, and rough CG temp stuff, but what I saw looked pretty damn ambitious and cool!
It has a hi-tech road warrior feel, and seemed pretty intense. It involved a helicopter chase with a dragon. There was a desperate dash for the clouds/fog in an effort to lose teh dragon. Tensions were running high in teh control center and Mathew McCanaughey was screaming "Go! Go! Reach your vertical limit! " The dargon was hot on their asses, and three parachuters bailed out for a high altitude jump.
Dragons were attacking the parachuters in mid air and chasing them intoa steep, rapid freefall...
The fall was truly intense (even with greenscreens in the backgrounds) and the terror was well achieved. I was into it. I had a feeling that something gruesome was going to happen to several of the jumeprs, and was proven right -- no spoilers! It looked like a bad way to die.
Anyway, I only saw a bit but it looked pretty promising.
