Hey folks, Harry here... You may have noticed that images and pictures from AUSTIN POWERS: GOLDMEMBER have ceased being available officially from NEW LINE today. The word was that something terrible was realized regarding the film and that the whole production was in trouble because of it.

As a matter of fact, Moriarty IM-ed me just an hour ago to hop on the story and see what I could see, so I did. Turns out that MGM has sent a legal hit team to squash and mash and rip that Golden Member out by the roots. That's right, Auric Goldfinger doesn't like jokes about his name. And MGM agrees. They sent a cease and desist to NEW LINE charging infringemnet upon their sacred sacrement of yesteryear.

Now it is QUITE CLEAR that New Line would easily defeat MGM under Parody Laws, but because MGM could tie up the marketing on the film in the meanwhile... They are going to go ahead and do a new title anyways. Taking the path of least resistance.

Personally, If I were AOL/TIME/WARNER, I'd just buy MGM and tell the bitches to shut the fuck up. But that's just me. Hell, the LORD OF THE RINGS series franchise alone is going to end up pulling in (over the next 3 years) enough bank to buy the studio, which has had shit and shinola to put out on screens in the last 5 years.

Personally, if I were MGM, I'd just ask New Line to attach the first Bond Teaser to every print of AUSTIN POWERS 3 and piggy back AP3's inevitable HUGE OPENING WEEKEND to awareness heaven. And I'd have New Line provide an introduction to PETER JACKSON (James Bond Super Freak) to have Peter direct the final Brosnan Bond.

New LIne.... Reissue all the posters and everything as AUSTIN POWERS 3: GOLD (Bllllleeeeeep!!!!) It would rule! Then throughout the film, everytime they mention Gold (Blllllleeeeep) you bleeeeep the bllleeeeep and put an MGM CENSURE STAMP on their mouths. It'd be hilarious. Then build up the suit. FUCK MGM, FUCK THEM IN THEIR STUPID ASSES! hehehee, I love Kevin Smith.
