Hey folks Harry here... If you love cool cinema, then you must be familiar with Takashi Miike's work. And if you know your classic samurai swordsman film history, then you are well familiar with the Zatoichi, Blind Swordsman series that has been going on as a theme for.... well just about as long as Japanese Swordsman flick have existed.... It is one of the mainstays. Let's hope Miike gives this tried and true the innovative treatment and reinvention and passion that Tsui Hark put into his BLADE flick which reinvented and just went mayhem wonderful with the 'One-Armed Swordsman' storyline!!!! Here ya go, another reason 2002 will rule? Sounds good to me...

Just thought you might want to know that Takashi Miike is planning on doing a new version of the classic Japanese film series Zatoichi the Blind Swordsman in 2002. According to a new book entitled Tokyo Scope : The Japanese Cult Film Companion, Zatoichi is a childhood screen legend of Miike and he wants to bring the character back to the screen.
