More LOTR Pics Than You Can Shake A Stick At!!!

Hey folks, Harry here... Hopefully these will stay up longer than the last pic... sigh... These all appeared on a Press CD-ROM that New Line has begun sending out to Press Venues. There's some fun stuff here, figured you folks would like a look... I find myself just staring at this stuff repeatedly... over and over and over and over again. Is there a therapist I could see regarding these issues that I'm having. A number someone? I need help. I can't stop thinking about this film. I'm scared of having a heart attack before the series is over, these films have contributed to the diet I'm on. I have also decided to leave the house only to see these films from here on out... too risky otherwise. Enjoy...

BTW... Here's the latest review to pop up on FELLOWSHIP OF THE RINGS, this guy actually says the film is superior to the book. Blasphemy? We shall see... Personally they are different creations. The book paints pictures and allows you to look around in the universe of your own imagination. Film tells us of the imagination of those that crafted it, we see what they see when they read it. To each their own...

"New Line Cinema's unprecedented investment of time and money has been justified, and the film plays too short at a full three hours. The wait already seems interminable for not only the release of the second film (The Two Towers) but also the next showing of this one that I can attend. The uncompromising The Fellowship of the Ring reminds most of us why we go to the movies in the first place: to be frightened, to be excited, to be transported, to be treated with respect. To be enchanted. I can't wait to be reminded again."-Walter Chaw -- Click Here To Read The Rest Of Walter's Review!!

Here's the next rave, this one from Roger Friedman at FOX NEWS (um, their parent company is the rival to FOTR parent company, you 'Plant' lovers below!)

"The three hours swim by, and at the end you really are interested in seeing parts two and three, which were already filmed. Could it have been shorter? Absolutely. Does it matter? No. In fact, Star Wars fans will be riveted when they see how much of that movie's legend was "adapted" from J.R.R. Tolkien's original books in the first place. Are there Oscars waiting for Fellowship? Certainly for special effects, costuming, makeup, and other technical categories.

At last, smart movie making, with a real sense of creativity, style, wit, and texture. You can't ask for anything more." Fox News; Click Here To Read The Rest!!

Dark Horizons has also join the fray of reviews trumpeting this film's apparent masterfulness. Here are 3 excerpts... To read all three in their entirety CLICK HERE

"I was fortunate to see THE LORD OF RINGS at a NYC screening on MOnday, and my legs are shaking. This movie is the Real Deal DARK HORIZONS

"I caught a press screening of Lord of the Rings today in Boston. It surprised me in a lot of ways - most of them luckily were positive. Most notably, the special effects and action sequences are quite amazing, and Peter Jackson asserting that the films couldn't be made until modern technology caught up to Tolkien was not incorrect. An excellent mix of digital and traditional effects techniques are on the screen, unlike the new Star Wars films (which are easy to compare to LOTR), which comparitively look extremely fake. The movie as a whole is extremely intense and surprisingly violent. Some of the action gets repetitive, but it is nonetheless riveting for the most part." Dark Horizons

"Peter Jackson's stunning version of the first of the Tolkien novels, is everything Harry Potter should have been: Magical, visionary, and escapist, yet with some genuine depth. Despite its near three hour length, Fellowship of the Ring is movie that transports the viewer into this Middle Earth world of hobbits and wizards, and as one watches the film unfold, one is all too aware that recent mythology, from Star Wars to Harry Potter, stemmed from Tolkien's masterful parable." For you Talk Backers curious about the above shot. Rivendell is a minature model (which was technically GIGANTIC). The Waterfalls are not CGI, however. Peter's plate teams shot every waterfall in NEW ZEALAND, getting the pieces that they needed to make those shots. Then in the computer composited it all together. At least that is how it was explained to me when I was sitting next to this FX genius on the plane ride back from New Zealand.
