I just got some new photos from the locations of Zhang Yimou's martial art epic HERO.
Leung Chiu-wai and Maggie Cheung, worked together in Wong Kar-wai's IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, plays two assassins, Broken Sword and Flying Now. Along with another warrior (Zhang Ziyi or Bai Shiqian ?), they were on a doomed mission of killing the king of Qin (Chin), later The First Emperor of China, who was campaigning against six other nations in an attempt to unify China. This scene was shot near Dunhuang city of Gansu Province, where the Silk Road passing through.
Jet Li plays Silencer (or No Name ?), the king's most loyalist warrior. Desperately to eliminate every single threat for the king, he was after Broken Snow. Shot in Jiuzhaigou National Park in the east end of Tibetan Plateau, of Sichuan Province,
