Bart spills THE SIMPSONS Movie News!!!

Hey folks, Comic Book Guy here... I mean Harry here, with the latest on the possible SIMPSONS movies. We've all been clamoring over big Simpsons movies for years now... Their merchandizing toys have never been cooler... The show, miraculously, remains entertaining and fun.... The recent DVD collection sold like hot cakes under the polar ice caps in a U.S. Naval Nuclear Submarine! Well if this holds up the way it sounds here... We have between 2 to 3 seasons left on the current contracts for THE SIMPSONS. Then all the talent is signed for 3 feature films. So, I suppose that mean that we can begin to reasonably look for the SIMPSONS to make their theatrical feature film debut in and/or around 2005-2006. Let's all get in line NOW!!!!!

Hey Harry,

I went to see Nancy Cartwright speak this evening at Ohio University, and she had some information about the future or "The Simpsons." She told us that they had signed on to do another season after the one that's about to begin (the thirteenth), and that Fox had an option to renew it for a fifteenth season if they felt there was still an audience for it. But the big news to me was that after the series is over, they've signed on to do three -- count 'em, three -- motion pictures. So it looks like we'll have plenty of animated goodness for the near future.

That's all I've got to say,

Aaron

And then we had this report

Hey Harry, never sent anything to you before, so just call me Bokonon. Nancy Cartwright (as you and I well know, the voice of Bart and other characters on "The Simpsons") spoke at Ohio University recently, and, aside from noting that the show will definitely be on for at least two more seasons (possibly more, considering the popularity of the show in the next couple of years), she also made clear that the cast and crew had made contracts for no less than THREE Simpsons movies in the coming years.

Just thought you might like to know. Alright, adios.
