More proof that Prof. Moriarty really isn’t so evil deep down. He covets news of the Slayer Circle as I do -- and could have effortlessly posted this fascinating missive from “OttoMaddox” himself -- but he knows how I love the “Buffy” beat and instead forwarded it to me.
Sarah Michelle Gellar’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” contract is up in two years, so we’ve been pretty resigned to the fact that the best show in production would cease production in spring 2003 -- and that we’d just have to subsequently make do with maybe a really cool “Buffy” movie every other year or so. But this news lends hope that the Buffyverse will continue to thrive on television long after the mother series is no more. Here’s Otto:

You know, I'm not an avid watcher of BUFFY, but god knows I'm a fan of a lot of people who are on it or are alums of it, such as Seth Green, Eliza Dushku, Alyson Hannigan, Anthony Stewart Head, and Michelle Tratchenberg ... but I found this story on Cinescape still pretty interesting, if it is just gossip.
Cinescape is reporting that Whedon has talked to Tratchenberg about a spinoff show or a continuation of the show with Dawn. Which is kinda interesting...does this mean Buffy's going to die? Again?!
