See? Sometimes all you have to do is be a misinformed dillhole like me, and answers just come raining down on you. FORREST GUMP is right... feather in the wind, baby.
Stephen Clark from BTTF.com, the best BACK TO THE FUTURE fansite, sent me this letter today, basically offering any official word you would need about the status of BACK TO THE FUTURE 4. Sadly, as I suspected, this is another case of a rumor with no foundation, a film with no future...

Funny for me to wake today to the rumors of BTTF4, just as we're putting the final touches on our exclusive interview with BTTF writer/producer Bob Gale.
We received the same emails yesterday from Paulo and Gracie (as did Dark Horizons), so I suspect they're working together on the rumor. Anyway, we can debunk their report with interview we just posted.

Nobody wants to see the BTTF franchise continue in some unique and respectable way more than I do, but according to Bob Gale whom I just spoke with last week, it ain't happening anytime soon.
HERE ARE BOB GALE'S EXACT COMMENTS ON BACK TO THE FUTURE 4!!
To back that up, I just spoke with Spielberg's longtime spokesman, Marvin Levy just last week, and here's what he had to say about the possibility:
"I wanted to respond to your note about 'Back to the Future' before more time went by. As far as I know, there has not been any discussion about another one, but that does not necessarily close the door."
Gives fans a little more hope than the quotes from Bob Gale, but nonetheless, Spielberg & Zemeckis are not scouting Portugal and France for locations for another BTTF film.
