CURSED trailer hits, but you may not want to watch it...
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a link for you, if you decide to click it. I infiltrated a test screening of CURSED back when I was attending the American Film Market. You can read my review here, but the short and sweet version is it's a good movie with some crappy CG (that I didn't want to focus on in my review since the movie wasn't 100% complete, but looking at what's in the trailer... it was probably finished) and a few too many endings where way too little happens.
But when it hits, it hits. There were a lot of surprises and one truly great sequence, which, coincidentally, is the one with the most usage of the KNB built and Rick Baker designed practical werewolf as it's stalking a very unlucky person in a parking garage.
Now the trailer has hit via AOL Movies and if I were Wes Craven, I would be royally pissed off. Royally. I've linked the trailer below, but I have to say... if you're looking forward to this movie at all, I'd skip it. It's one of those "give everything away" trailer. It gives all the big moments away, all the surprises away and all the plot away. The movie has some fun twists and turns, but if you watch this trailer it's like you have a satellite navigation system in your hand and nothing will surprise you in this film. It also succeeds in making half the movie look like TEEN WOLF 2, which I admit there are elements of, but nothing so overt as the way they make it look in the trailer.
The only good news with the trailer is really no news at all. There is no rating in the trailer credits, so we don't know if Bob Weinstein has cut the balls off the movie or if common sense prevailed and he's going to release it with all the gore, which was the only thing that kept the movie from being "Meh..."
